This is England - Skinhead chic

Skinheads - named after their cropped or shaven heads, they were members of a working-class subculture that originated in Britain in the 1960s. They were heavily influenced by the rude boys of the West Indies and the mods of the UK.Originally, being a skinhead was not about colour, race, religion, national origin, or anything of the sort. It is a brotherhood/sisterhood of individuals who share the same passions.

Then...

Now...

The film is a must see....released in 2006 written and directed by Shane Meadows...The story centres on young skinheads in England in 1983. The film illustrates that skinhead subculture, whose 1960s roots include elements of black culture especially ska, soul, and reggae music, became adopted by white nationalists, which led to divisions within the skinhead scene.

... & tonight will be the premire of the sequel 'This is England 86' on Channel 4 @ 10pm....its not to be missed....
